Chelsea legend Didier Drogba wishes his former club teammate and compatriot Salomon Kalou the best of luck in his Bundesliga adventure.

Didier Drogba has sent a message to his former Chelsea teammate and compatriot Salomon Kalou following his move to Hertha Berlin.

Ivory Coast international Kalou completed his transfer from Lille to Hertha on a three-year contract for an undisclosed fee on Sunday.

The 29-year-old joined Lille from Chelsea on a free transfer in the summer of 2012 and enjoyed two successful seasons with the Ligue 1 outfit.

Kalou scored 30 goals in 67 league appearance for the French club, but decided to switch to Bundesliga outfit Hertha this summer.

Chelsea legend Drogba played alongside the former Feyenoord star at international level from 2007 and 2014, and at the Blues between 2006 and 2012 (click here to read more).

The 36-year-old ex-Marseille star took to Instagram to post the following photo along with the message: ‘ich bin ein Berliner!!! Yes you are @salomonkalou Congrats bro on taking on this new challenge and see you there...in May Best of luck!!!!!’
