Danny Welbeck completed his shock £16m move from Manchester United to Arsenal overnight, and the Gunners have presented their new signing this evening.
The 23-year-old had reportedly been told he was free to leave Old Trafford on loan with Radamel Falcao signing for Louis van Gaal's men from Monaco on deadline day, but Arsenal managed to negotiate a permanent deal for the England international, paying £16m and giving the striker a five-year contract.
Welbeck has now left the club he's been with since the age of 11 in search of first team football, having struggled to play regularly at United with Robin van Persie and Wayne Rooney also vying to play up front.
The Gunners needed to sign a striker after French international Olivier Giroud broke his ankle, ruling him out until the new year - and leaving Arsenal with just Yaya Sanogo as a recognised centre forward.
Welbeck will surely come in as Arsenal's first choice striker now, and will be looking to grasp his opportunity at the Emirates Stadium as he looks for a role in the England team.
Will Welbeck succeed at the Emirates Stadium?
