A round up of news stories this morning about Tottenham Hotspur.

Spurs will reportedly go up against Arsenal for the signing of Lazio star Antonio Candreva.

Candreva hasn’t been offered a new contract by the Serie A club, which has reportedly prompted him to consider a winter move away.

A possible fee of around the €30 million mark has been mentioned.

Former Tottenham Hotspur boss Tim Sherwood has revealed what he thinks the side need to reach the top four.

Sherwood was let go by the club after failing to lead Spurs into the Champions League.

“Tottenham are one striker short of challenging for a top four spot. It doesn't get any easier to break into the top four,” he told talkSPORT.

Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris says the club must bounce back after the disappointment of the heavy defeat to Liverpool.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side suffered a heavy 3-0 defeat to the Reds in front of their own fans last weekend.

“We now have to learn from this game. It’s just the beginning of the season – we know that we are in a good way but we have to keep going,” he told the Spurs website.
