Sir Alex Ferguson will go down in history as one of, if not the greatest football manager of all time. He took over from Ron Atkinson in 1986 after breaking the Old Firm monopoly in Scotland with Aberdeen, and led Manchester United to their first league title in over 20 years in 1992-93. He went onto oversee the Red Devils win an incredible 13 league titles, five FA Cups and two Champions League trophies in addition to many more. He stepped down in 2013 to become a director at the club.
